Our Mission and Vision

At the Chalkwell Lodge Residents’ Association (CLRA), our mission is to ensure that every leaseholder has a voice in the decisions that affect their home and finances. We aim to foster transparency, accountability, and collaboration in how service charges are managed, while advocating for the fair treatment of all residents.

Why We Were Formed
The CLRA was established in response to growing concerns about a lack of transparency, unclear financial practices, and insufficient communication between leaseholders and the current managing agents. Many residents have shared feelings of frustration, believing their concerns have been overlooked. Our mission is to bridge this gap by creating a platform where every resident’s voice is heard.

Our Goals

  • Transparency: To provide clear, accessible information about service charges, major projects, and how residents’ contributions are spent.
  • Accountability: To hold managing agents and the current committee to their legal obligations and ensure residents’ best interests are prioritised.
  • Collaboration: To foster a sense of community where residents can engage, share concerns, and collectively influence decisions that impact their homes.
  • Empowerment: To educate residents about their legal rights as leaseholders and provide resources to address concerns effectively.

Why We Are Separate from the Current Committee
The CLRA is independent of the existing committee and management company. While the committee plays an administrative role, the CLRA is dedicated to advocating for leaseholders’ interests. We believe in transparency and inclusivity, ensuring decisions are not made in isolation but reflect the collective voice of all residents.
